Cookie Policy
How Afenta uses cookies and similar technologies on the website and related client or admin flows.
Last updated:
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device by a website. Similar technologies, such as local storage, can store information in your browser for security, preferences, or functionality.
2. How we currently use cookies
Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 are loaded on public pages only after you accept analytics. If you reject analytics, the website does not load them.
_ga is an optional first-party Google Analytics cookie used to distinguish users. Its default lifetime is two years, subject to browser limits and the Analytics property configuration.
_ga_* refers to optional first-party Google Analytics cookies used to maintain session state. Their default lifetime is two years, subject to browser limits and the Analytics property configuration.
afenta_cookie_preferences_v2 is necessary local storage used to save your necessary, analytics, and marketing choices for 180 days. The necessary category is always active.
afenta_analytics_consent_v1 is a legacy local-storage preference. A previous rejection is migrated with both optional categories disabled; a previous acceptance is removed and we ask for a fresh choice because the current policy has separate Analytics and Marketing categories.
After successful admin sign-in, afenta_admin_session is set as a strictly necessary, HttpOnly first-party cookie for up to eight hours.
afenta-tour:admin-os is functional local storage in the protected admin area. It remembers completion of the product guide until browser storage is cleared.
We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, phone numbers, message contents, or payment data to analytics.
3. Cookie categories
- Strictly necessary cookies: required for security, routing, authentication, payments, or requested website functionality. These do not require consent when they are essential.
- Analytics cookies: with your consent, Google Analytics 4 uses cookies and similar technologies to measure visits and selected interactions so we can improve the website.
- Marketing or advertising storage: no marketing or advertising tag is currently in use. The preference record includes a marketing choice, but it currently activates no tag. If a tag is introduced, it will load only after consent and this policy will be updated.
- Functional storage: afenta-tour:admin-os remembers completion of the product guide in the protected admin area until browser storage is cleared. It does not track public website visitors.
- Third-party cookies: external services, such as payment providers or embedded content providers, may set their own cookies when you interact with their services.
4. Admin and payment flows
After successful authentication, protected admin pages use the strictly necessary afenta_admin_session cookie to keep authorised users logged in for up to eight hours.
Invoice payment flows may redirect to external payment providers. Their cookie and privacy practices are controlled by those providers and may be explained in their own policies.
5. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause parts of the website, admin area, or payment flow to stop working.
The preference centre lets you accept all, reject optional storage, or choose Analytics and Marketing separately. Necessary storage is always active. You can reopen Cookie settings next to Terms & Conditions in the footer.
Withdrawing Analytics stops future analytics collection by the website and removes accessible _ga cookies. Marketing consent currently activates no tag.
6. Changes
We update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove cookies, analytics, marketing tools, embedded content, or payment-related technologies.
